You do realize that the states you identify as traveling the least have the fewest people by population, right? Put a little more thought in it next time.
I agree. It’s also a pretty big stretch to say that anyone booking travel from a “blue” state is a Democrat and anyone booking travel in a “red” state is a Republican.
However, I don’t doubt for a second that Democrats are more widely traveled in general. And certainly travel much more outside of the country. I don’t have any data though.
True, anyone from those states could be booking travel. However, as proven during each election year after year, the majority of the inhabitants of those states tend to be of one party. This is a good entry point into an interesting study. Would love to see more research. Thanks for sharing.
@Rak and @Ania, I think next year we might add in survey data from our customers to round it out a bit more. We also started using a few newer analytical packages that may give us a more robust look at travel across the states. Thanks for your suggestions.
